How long have you been running? About 10 years

Why do you run? When was the moment that you identified as a runner?

I run because I learned I’m not 100% me without it. Its therapeutic and I love the mental and physical strength that one gains from running.  I think I identified myself as a runner when I first started running in Junior High, I was excited for practice and would run extra for the fun of it.

When was your first run group? What keeps you coming back?

Oh man, I want to say 2 years ago. I keep going back for the good company.

What is your favorite local race?

I ran 5k Etouffee a couple years ago, it was a small race but I had a fun at it. I also like the Rock and Roll marathon and half; the weather always seems to be perfect for it.

What is your favorite aspect of the New Orleans running community?

I really like all the running groups and clubs around town. No matter the day of the week there’s a group you can run with and everyone’s welcoming.

What is your current running goal?

I’m focused on summer training so I can start racing in the fall. Most importantly staying injure free; fingers crossed.
