Why do you run? When was the moment that you identified as a runner?

I run because it is my release after very long and busy days at work. It makes me happier and more productive as a person, and I feel like my day isn’t complete without it. I first identified as a runner after my first cross country season as a sophomore in high school.

When was your first run group? What keeps you coming back?

My first run group was in May 2010 when you first met at the Peristyle in City Park and before LRC officially opened. The wonderful personalities and camaraderie keep me coming back to run group. I also seem to have a penchant for winning free shoes…

What is your favorite local race?

I love the Zulu Run to Ride 5k for its unique awards and the Tipitina’s 5k for the bands on the flat, fast course

What is your current running goal?

Training for a fall half-marathon and winter marathon
