NOLA Bluedoo Walk/Run/Party

09/12/2015 @ 5:00 PM

2 Mile Walk/Run and Party

Saturday, September 12, 2015, 5:00 PM

Tulane University Uptown Campus, New Orleans, LA

Benefiting the Prostate Cancer Research Fund at Tulane University

One in every seven of our fathers, husbands, brothers or sons will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. One in 36 will die of this disease. Prostate cancer is a formidable opponent, but Dr. Oliver Sartor at Tulane Cancer Center is battling back and making progress. You too can join the fight! There are two ways to help…

  • You can help raise important research funds by making a tax-deductible donation–any amount is appreciated and makes a difference–or by becoming a sponsor of the event. Donations or sponsorship payments can be made online at www.nolabluedoorun.org
  • You can help raise awareness by registering to participate as a walker or runner in this two-mile event.

The NOLA Bluedoo Walk/Run/Party is open to all runners and walkers, NOTC members and nonmembers alike, as well as party participants.

Pre- and Post-Event Festivities

Costuming Encouraged: We want the NOLA Bluedoo Run to be a fun and festive celebration of prostate cancer survivorship and the importance of research in finding a cure. Participants are encouraged to costume in blue –the color of prostate cancer awareness–for the event.

Silent Auction: There will be opportunity for supporters to participate in a silent auction featuring a variety of incredible items.

Please check back as the event date nears for more details on the items available in the silent auction as well as information on auction times, etc. All proceeds will benefit Tulane’s Prostate Cancer Research Program.

NOLA Bluedoo Central: The mission of the NOLA Bluedoo Party/Walk/Run is to raise funds for prostate cancer research as well as awareness of the disease. Don’t forget to stop by NOLA Bluedoo Central where you can register to win special “survivor” gift packages, take photos in our NOLA Bluedoo photo booth, receive information on prostate cancer as well as complimentary PSA screenings offered at Tulane, and more. Please check back as the event date nears for additional details.
